The Mile-High Club
Major Nelson, the sponsor of the Xbox 360 faceplate contest, knowledgable xbox blogger and all around Microsoft employee got to do something extremely cool yesterday. He boarded an experimental airplane dubbed Connexion and took a quck jump over to a winery in Eastern Washington. I'm not sure what he did to get an invite for this deal, but he's sure got the connections. Anyway, the premise behind Connexion is to test high-speed internet access on airplanes. Aside from doing a bunch of cool stuff from 30,000 feet, he also snapped some of the best pictures I've seen of Mt. Ranier taken from an airplane. They buzzed it pretty close yesterday. You can see the whole photostream here.
